About Us

Alcorn Street Vet Clinic is a small animal vet practice, servicing Bowral and the Southern Highlands. Our clinic offers care for greyhounds and animal breeders.

Senior veterinarians and clinic owners, Dr Michael Callaghan and Dr Linda Corney are focused on offering up-to-date care and information when it comes to your pets' needs. Our Southern Highlands clinic practices high quality surgical, medical, diagnostic and therapeutic services. Orthopaedic services are also available.

Our Team

Dr Michael Callaghan - Veterinarian
Michael has been working as a vet for more than 25 years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (First Class Honours) from Sydney University in 1988. He also completed a Diploma of Veterinary Clinical Studies with Sydney University.

Michael worked in a rural large animal veterinary practice in Walcha for eight years, eventually buying the business. He also worked in Tasmania for a year, then moved to the Highlands, where he has been working as a vet since 1997. Michael bought Alcorn Street Vet Clinic in 2003 and has been with the business ever since.

Dr Linda Corney - Veterinarian
Graduating from Sydney University in 1986, Linda has worked at Rossmore Vets for seven years and Bowral Vets for 10 years before partnering with Michael at Alcorn Street Vet Clinic in 2004. Linda has been a track veterinarian at Moss Vale, Bulli, Dapto and Wentworth Park greyhound tracks at various times over a 25-year period.

With combined industry experience of more than 50 years, our dedicated vets are able to offer expert advice and caring consultations.
